Es una gozada visitar una exposición como la de Todo o Nada de Mario Testino, porque aunque no sean cuadros, ni esculturas, son fotografías tan excepcionales y conmovedoras que llegan a ser obras de arte.

La exposición empieza con fotografías de editorial; modelos totalmente cubiertas por ropa, trajes largos e imponentes; y termina con un estilo totalmente opuesto, retratos desnudos de topmodels.

Son cincuenta y cuatro fotografías que identifican el estilo de "mujer Testino"; como dice él:

“Me gustan las mujeres fuertes e independientes. Las que pese a su fuerza no dejan nunca de ser femeninas ni utilizan su belleza como un instrumento. Mujeres con personalidad que son capaces de reflejar sus deseos y los nuestros”.

It is a joy to see an exhibition like Todo o nada by Mario Testino, because although they are not paintings or sculptures, are exceptional and moving pictures becoming works of art.

The exhibition begins with editorial photographs; models entirely covered by clothing, really stunning evening dresses, and ends with an entirely opposite style, topmodel nude portraits.

They are fifty-four photographs that identify the style of the "Testino woman" as he says:

"I like strong, independent women. Which despite its strength never fail to be feminine or use their beauty as a tool. Women with personality who are able to reflect your wishes and ours ".

La semana pasada diseñé una colección inspirada en la moda retro y esto es parte de mi sketchbook. Me encantan estas fotos, cada una tiene un toque retro, el pelo, el estilo, el entorno, y desde que lo retro está de moda tomo un poco de inspiración para colecciones y mis estilismos. Lo que más me atrae de este estilo es sin duda, las gafas, los peinados y las sandalias; debo decir que tengo debilidad por todas las de MiuMiu. Last week I designed a colection inspired in fashion retro and this is part of my sketchbook. I love these pictures, everyone has a touch of retro; the hair, the style, the environment, and since retro is back in fashion I pick up some inspiration for colections and my outfits. What I like most about this style are the glasses, hair and sandals, I should say that I have a soft spot for all of MiuMiu.

De vuelta de Londres. No es que sea mi ciudad predilecta, pero aún así encuentro que tiene su encanto. Sus casas victorianas de un blanco impoluto con columnas en la entrada, el contraste de puentes modernos y antiguos que cruzan el río Támesis, las calles que aún conservan los adoquines, Sant James park y las ardillas, las jardineras llenas de flores dispuestas en las fachadas de los pubs, entre otros muchos detalles que para mí hacen especial esta ciudad . Después de haber hecho un curso en Central Saint Martins, quiero mostraros parte de mi trabajo; es otra faceta que algunos de vosotros conocéis, la fotografía. Es algo que me apasiona desde hace años y sinceramente no podría vivir sin ella, me mantiene viva.

No he querido caer en el típico outfit de estilo adlib porque creo que siempre es bueno innovar y saber mezclar colores y estilos, así que simplemente me he inspirado en mi misma. El año pasado apostaba por los tonos malvas, lilas y fucsias; este año apuesto por el verde. No se que tiene este color que me gusta hasta para color de uñas! Y creo que con un toque de dorado le da un aire más sofisticado al outfit.

I didn't want to fall in the typical style adlib for the outfit because I think it's always good to innovate and know how to mix colors and styles, so I just inspired myself. Last year I bet on the purple, lilac and fuchsia colors, this year I'm betting on the green color. I don't know what it has, that I like even for my nail polish! And with a touch of gold gives a sophisticated air to the outfit.

Dejando a un lado las playas y el paisaje de Formentera, otros lugares con encanto que tiene esta isla son sus chiringuitos y mercadillos hippies que hay por toda ella. Uno de estos mercadillos se hace en la capital, San Francesc, y el otro en el pueblo de la Mola. Los dos son verdaderamente auténticos y merece la pena dar una vuelta por ellos y disfrutar del ambiente.

Aside from the beaches and landscape of Formentera, other charming places you have this island are its beach clubs, restaurants, and hippie markets. One of these markets is in the capital, San Francisco, and the other one in the town of Mola. Both are truly authentic andworth a spin for them and enjoy the atmosphere.

Honestly, this island drives me crazy, it's completely versatile: it's glamorous and hippie at once, modern and charming, and their inhabitants ranging from the bold Italians who settled in the island in summer, to the conservatives natives, in other words, it's an island with much life.

Formentera: the charming island

Para muchos es un lugar donde pasar las vacaciones, para otros un lugar de relax y descanso donde cargar pilas, para mí es mi paraíso particular desde que tenía ocho años apróximadamente. Tengo un especial cariño a esta isla, así que cada año espero con ansias mi estancia en ella. Para mi familia es casi una tradición compartir unos días del verano todos juntos en este lugar paradisíaco.

Después de una semana en Formentera he pensado que podía enseñaros algunos lugares especiales de la isla. La verdad es que tengo infinitas fotos de otros años, pero he decidido hacer una selección de este viaje en concreto.

For many people Formentera is a place to vacation, for others a place to relax and rest, for me is my private paradise since I was eight years. I have a special affection for this island, so every year I look forward to my stay there. For my family is almost a tradition to share some summer days together in this paradise.

That's the Beyonce song "Why don't you love me". A song inspired by the women from the 50's. They were made for cleaning the house, care for the children, make the dinner and help their husbands in whatever they could; a sexist vision of women which was normal at that time. What I most like about this song is the videoclip. It has been recorded like if it was a tv show of the fifties decade. The Pin Up esthetic is reflected in Beyonce's clothes and hairstyle. Which gives the vintage air is the old light blue telephone and in general all the staging. We have to consider many details that give a twist to the video, for example all the rings that she is wearing only in one hand, the glass of martini and the olives, and the makeup smeared as if she has been crying, but in fact all is very thought.

Siento haber estado un poco out últimamente, he estado ocupada con trabajos, así que he tenido que dejar a parte mi segunda vida.

JC de Castelbajac, diseñador nacido en Casablanca. Su primera colección fue en 1968, un año más tarde su primer show. Creador de ICEBERG en Italia. Rendió homenaje, a través de vestidos, desde Mickey Mouse, hasta Luis XVI, Cindy Sherman, Peter Hujar Encounter Keith Haring y Jean-Michel Basquiat. Ha vestido a Sarah Jessicah Parker en Sex and the City. Por supuesto lleva creando colecciones desde el 2002 y ha mostrado gran parte de su trabajo en exposiciones, como la que se hizo en el 2006 en el Victoria and Albert Museum llamada Popaganda.

De momento no tenemos tienda en España, pero esperemos que pronto se pueda abrir alguna o al menos introducir en una tienda multimarca. De todas maneras, siempre nos quedará la online shop.

Su último trabajo ha sido la colección Spring/Summer 2011 llamada Uber Tropikal Airlines: Kitsch, retro, impredecible, sentimental, pop, intrépida, divertida o soñadora, son algunas de sus características. Como si fuera la historia de unos exploradores viajando al continente africano, JC de Castelbajac nos introduce al mundo del cómic, las etnias y los safaris a través de un vuelo lleno de colorido y prints .

JC de Castelbajac, a designer born in Casablanca. His first collection was in 1968, a year later his first show. ICEBERG operator in Italy. Tribute through his dresses from Mickey Mouse, to Louis XVI, Cindy Sherman, Peter Hujar Encounter Keith Haring and Jean-Michel Basquiat. He has dressed Sarah Jessicah Parker in Sex and the City. Of course he has been creating collections since 2002 and has shown much of his work in exhibitions, like the one made in 2006 at the Victoria and Albert Museum called Popaganda.

His last work was the collection Spring / Summer 2011 called Uber Tropikal Airlines: Kitsch, retro, unpredictable, romantic, pop, fearless, funny and dreamy, are some of their characteristics. As if was a story of explorers traveling to the African continent, JC de Castelbajac introduces the world of comics, ethnic and safari through a flight full of color and prints.

YELLOW, with fur or leather?

¿Qué preferís? ¿ Combinar este precioso bolso con un abrigo de piel o una cazadora de cuero? A veces las pieles, si su forma no es actual, pueden parecer muy clásicas y de persona mayor. Pero con la cazadora de cuero quizás voy demasiado negra y si no fuera por ese llamativo bolso parecería una gótica, ¿no? Entonces, ¿qué escogeríais vosotras?

Lo que llevo en mi pelo es un intento de cola-trenza o algo por el estilo; seguro que me quedaría mucho mejor si tuviera melenaza. A un amigo mío se le metió en la cabeza que probara llevar ( para el desfile de Cool People) una trenza alta y larga en la cabeza, pero como no tengo el pelo largo, fuimos a comprar a Primark extensiones. Resultó que no había de color castaño ( obvio porque es el más comprado), así que mi querido amigo me propuso comprar de color, no os asustéis, ¡¡¡¡ de color pelirojo!!!! Al final no las llevé, claro, creo que me queda algo de clase y dignidad para llevar extensiones de mi tono.

What do you prefer? Combining this amazing bag with a fur coat or a leather jacket? Sometimes fur coats can look too much classy and for old people. With the leather jacket maybe I look too black, and if it wasn't for the striking yellow bag I'd look gothic, right? So, what would you choose?

What I have on my hair is an attempt to tail braid or something of the sort, it would look better, for sure, if I had long hair. A friend of mine told me days ago, before the Cool people Fashion Show, to try wearing for the event a long tail braid, but, as I don't have long hair, we went to Primark and I bought some hair extensions. What we didn't consider is that brown hair extensions ( obviously the most purchased) could be sell off. So I had to buy red hair extensions!!! In the end I didn't wear them, come on! I still have some class and dignity to wear them of my hair color!

Como muchos de vosotros ya sabeis, fuí seleccionada para desfilar en la pasarela Cool People en Cibeles este miércoles pasado. Al llegar allí os he de reconocer que estaba nerviosísima pero a la vez con muchas ganas de aprovechar al máximo esta experiencia. Tras varios ensayos y un retoque de maquillaje, estuvimos un largo rato esperando a que nos avisarán para colocarnos en fila y salir. Y finalmente llegó el gran momento, único y que jamás olvidaré. As many of you know, I was selected to walk in the Cool People Cibeles Fashion Show, this past Wednesday. When I arrived, I have to admit that I was very nervous, yet eager to take advantage of this experience. After several rehearsals and a touch of makeuo, we were left waiting for a while before being asked to stand in a line and go out. Blogger Meeting en Madrid

Con motivo de la Cibeles, uno de los acontecimientos de moda más importantes en España, cantidad de bloggers se han dejado ver por la capital y muchos de ellos, yo misma, hemos acabado reuniéndonos este sábado en el Meeting de Bloggers en Fortuny.

Llego a Madrid. Llueveeeeeeee! Odio la lluvia!

Después de instalarme en el hotel, mi amiga Inés pasa a recogerme.

Como con ella en el Vips, más bien, nos atiborramos de comida y luego me lleva a casa de una de sus amigas, preciosa por cierto.

Al cabo de un rato,Inés y yo nos cambiamos de sitio, vamos a tomar algo al Starbucks con su novio.

Horas más tarde, me encuentro con mi grupo de amigas de Nueva York, a las que no he visto desde hace meses. Charlamos, nos ponemos al día, nos reímos y recordamos los buenos momentos pasados este julio.

Toca vestirse para el evento! He quedado con Inés en el Fortuny y no puedo llegar tarde, así que me pongo mi falda, hecha por mí, una camiseta negra y mis tacones de Acne y me voy pitando!

Son los maestros de los estampados, ¿es coincidencia que los estampados más conocidos del mundo sean de diseñadores italianos: Pucci, Etro, Missoni....?yo diría que no.

Para este verano apuesta por los ácidos y los colores flúor: verde lima, amarillo, naranja, rojo, azul; en un sin fin de tonalidades. Esta tendencia se reflejará no solo en la ropa; también en los complementos y el maquillaje.

Siento haberos tenido un poco olvidados estos días, pero he estado ocupadísima con la fiesta que vais a ver a continuación. El 1 de febrero fue mi cumple, 20 años, y quise organizar algo especial con las personas que más quiero, aquellos amigos que siempre están ahí.

La fiesta desde el principio hasta el final fue estupenda, cuando preparas algo con ilusión esperas que salga todo bien y realmente puedo estar muy contenta porque cumplió todas las expectativas.

El vestido que llevo lo he diseñado yo y muchas de mis amigas de la universidad se han diseñado y confeccionado sus vestidos.

Quizás debería pedir perdón a mis amigos en general, por darles tanto la vara con los malditos zapatos Jeffrey Campbell! Puede que me pasase un mes y medio hablando de ellos y de lo increíbles que eran! y al final....Toma tus zapatos pesada! Aquí estoy esperando los nuevos Lita boots y Foxy wood!!!!

En definitiva, la noche del viernes fue inolvidable, gracias a todos mis amigos por estar ahí, porque, con máscaras o sin ellas, son fántasticos y no los cambio por ningún otro grupo de amigos del mundo!

Este es mi sombrero de "cazar patos". Me lo compré en New York en un mercadillo del Soho y cuando volví a Barcelona fue bautizado por un amigo como "el sombrero de ir a cazar patos" y así se le quedó. Creo que es más bien de verano, pero a veces me apetece tanto ponermelo que hago lo posible por llevarlo! Así que, el sábado pasado, decidí combinarlo con una falda nueva larga y mi cazadora de cuero. Estas son unas de las fotos que me hice el sábado, mañana más y mejor!

Este lunes pasado tuve la suerte, gracias a mi amiga Carlota, de hacer una sesión de fotos en una de las suites del hotel Ritz de Barcelona, situado en el antiguo Palace Hotel. Solo entrar al vestíbulo del hotel me quedé maravillada del lujo y la elegancia que me rodeaba. La suite, situada en el primer piso, de 200m2 fue el hogar del pintor surrealista Salvador Dalí durante mucho tiempo y de aquí el nombre de la suite "Salvador Dalí". Lo que vais a ver a continuación es una selección de mi armario y el de mi amiga Carlota de prendas de noche.

Last monday, thanks to my friend Carlota, I was lucky enough to make photo shoot in one of the suites of the Ritz Barcelona, where the old Palace Hotel used to be. As soon as I walked in the loby I became astonished by the luxury and elegance which surrounded me. The suite, located in the first floor, 200 sq meters in size, was once home to surrealist paintor Salvador Dalí during his time in Barcelona, thus the suite's name, "Salvador Dalí". What you're about to see is a selection of mine and Carlota's wardrobe; featuring night outfits.

Hoy ha sido un día muy largo. Me he pasado toda la tarde acabando de coser esta camiseta, que es un trabajo de clase. Supongo que con la primera foto veis un poco de que va el tema; me he inspirado en los reptiles, en como se camuflan y como mudan su piel por otra nueva. Teníamos que elaborar un concepto y expresarlo a partir de una camiseta blanca básica. Espero haber transmitido esa sensación!

Today has been a long day. I spent all afternoon working on this T-shirt as part of a class project. I guess the first picture should give you an idea of the overall concept. I was inspired by reptiles, their ability to camouflage and shed their entire skin for a new one. We had to work out a concept and express it using a basic white T-shirt. I hope I was able to convey that feeling!

Nacido en Londres. Para mí uno de los mejores fotógrafos del momento. Su fotografía es arte, sabe utilizar el color como ningún otro fotógrafo y tiene un estilo muy personal. Tenía ganas de enseñaros fotos de su trabajo porque me ha inspirado mucho su estilo. Me encantan esas caras perfectamente maquilladas, la cantidad de colores luminosos que puede llegar a captar en una foto, el escenario en sí es increíble.

Por todas aquellas maravillosas compras que hemos amortizado mucho mucho en este invierno y que seguimos llevándolas sin cansarnos! Este es el caso de un abrigo que me compré hace un par de meses y que me esta dando muy buen resultado. Quería algo fuera de lo corriente y al final encontré el abrigo perfecto en la tienda MAD de Rambla Catalunya, Barcelona. La marca del abrigo no la conocía y se llama Ines et Maréchal.

For all those wonderful purchases that have payed for themselves in the winter and that we continue wearing without getting tired! This is the case of a coat I bought a couple of months and it's giving me a very good result. I wanted something unusual and I finally found the perfect coat in MAD's shop at Rambla Catalunya street, Barcelona. The brand of the coat, which I didn't know, is called Ines et Maréchal.
